The power of a woman.

In our fraternity we have mostly accomplished men who have their lives in set. They are married and have a family that they leave for lodge every month. Yet, the reason they go to lodge is to better themselves. They meet with brothers and have a "guy's night".

However, we can not forget the women who back us on our quest and journey to enlightenment. These women hold the fort when we leave even if it is just a couple of hours that we are gone. These women, are strong individuals that can hold their own but when we come home we are stronger together.

A Soldier knows the importance of a woman back home. She is there for us when we need to talk on deployments. She sends us care packages to help us get through the time that we are deployed. She supports our decision when we decide to stay in the Army, the Marines, the Air Force, or the Navy just another four years. Her job is not easy. She must be ready for a lot of heartache and troubling times.

I can testify that there is one woman in this world who holds my heart even half way around this world. She is my rock and my anchor. She holds me strong through this deployment and through my quest for enlightenment. She is the one that makes me want to become a better man. The rough ashlar I talked about in my last post is what she gets but she knows that with the all the work behind it I am going to become a perfected ashlar. With all my flaws and weaknesses, she is still willing to be with me and help me overcome some of my biggest downfalls. It is the power of a woman who makes us better men. Freemasonry is an outlet that helps us and guides us but with out that woman behind us we are going to never surpass our greatest accomplishments. Gentlemen, do not forget to thank your significant other for all of her hard work she puts into your relationship. She is as much of a Freemason as you are. She's helping the Master make your rough ashlar into the most perfect stone ever.
