A bit of an update on how things are going
here at Celestial Brotherhood. First, I am now back stateside. I had an amazing
time with the beautiful Emily, I am getting back into the groove here stateside
inside my unit, getting back into my writing and getting more involved with my
lodge here at Triangle Lodge #548, Lawton Oklahoma. It feels good to be back
having fellowship with like-minded individuals. It is definitely a bonus, to
have more brethren involved with the Lodge than when I first arrived here at
Triangle. Especially the youth that is involved. Now in my lodge there are a
number of younger Masons that fill the seats in the North and South, and are
moving through the officer chairs. It is nice to have younger generations with
young fresh minds and ideas pushing them for the better of our noble
fraternity.
My lodge has made it a goal to donate
clothing and different items to the Shelter for Battered Women of Lawton. An
organization that helps women who have been in abusive relationships get back
on their feet after leaving their abusive situation at home. I feel that this
is actually a responsibility we as Freemasons must accept. It is a great a
noble cause to help women, some with children, some without. Either way it is a
great way for Triangle Lodge #548, to reach out in the community and become
more visible to the community. I make the suggestion that your lodges reach out
with something similar. In fact, I have
done a little bit of research and have found no such program within our
Freemasonic community that is dedicated to helping women in abusive
relationships. We have programs to help children who have been abused and so
forth, but nothing for women. If there is such a program I would greatly
appreciate anyone’s assistance in finding said program. If I am correct—there
is no program, I would like to make a motion to start one. You can bring the idea up to your lodge; I
just ask to be cited as your reference to the idea. Now, with every other
Masonic program we would have to have a name that fits what it represents, I
suggest “Widow Son’s Against the Abuse of Women.” It would be a Blue Lodge
program and we can really come together and help out the mothers and other
women of our communities together and reach it on a national level—much like the
Shriners Hospital. I will write another
article in reference to my idea and publish it shortly. With that idea
prospering around in my mind I have a few other announcements of things going
on in my life.
I am still writing my book—haven’t gotten
much further than when I left off the last time, however, I am just getting
back into it. I am also getting very deep within the studies of Freemasonry
once more since I have settled in a bit more and I am getting use to being back
in these fine United States of America. I have found some great information
that I will be sharing with everyone else involving the degrees of the craft
and different Rites that I have never heard of, appendant bodies that seem
fitting for those who would like to seek more and more light, as I do. I am also currently working on an article for
the Midnight Freemason’s, trying to find my own little niche within the
community of fine brethren and sister whom of which write very well. To find
said niche, I have contacted the Minnesota Grand Lodge and requested
information regarding their history, present and future events as well as
different ways they are representing the Craft. I would like to get the
information from them and write the article and have it published on Midnight
Freemasons by February 24th, in celebration of the Grand Lodge’s 161st
anniversary. The Grand Secretary has
contacted me and he speaks great things of Celestial Brotherhood as well as the
Midnight Freemasons. He is quoted from
his email to myself as saying, “I have been to both
of the sites you are working with, Celestial Brotherhood and Midnight
Freemasons; and I like what you seem to be doing.” He continued his praise
about what we are doing at Celestial Brotherhood and the Midnight Freemasons—saying
thank you for what we are doing for the Craft. Well, I am still waiting for any
information that they wish for me to write about, however, I understand they
are extremely busy at this time of year and I do not wish to rush them. Even, if
I would like to have the article written and published by their anniversary. I
just would like to thank Grand Secretary Douglas Campbell for the kind words
and wish them the best of luck with the upcoming year.
I have a few more articles I am working
on as well, just may take a little bit more of studying, research and the time
to write. I would like to thank all the loyal readers again for keeping this
page up and running, I would also like
to thank the new followers, or even the first timer readers. Remember, I may be
the main contributor to this blog but it is a Celestial Brotherhood and your
ideas and your emails count. Please E-mail me at aaron.r.gardner@me.com or follow me on Twitter or Facebook. If you
have an idea that you feel would fit here on Celestial Brotherhood, please send
it my way and I will take a look.
Until we meet again under the constellations,
I am fraternally yours.
